What is InfinigrainTM?
Crafting a wood-look surface that truly rivals the realism of genuine wood is no small feat, but DuraVista™ achieves that goal via a unique feature: Infinigrain™. This innovative printing and embossing process creates an LVP that so closely mimics the appearance and texture of genuine wood that you’d be hard-pressed to tell it’s not the real thing.
Each Infinigrain™ plank starts with a high-definition digital scan of a piece of real hardwood, capturing details from the fine lines in the grain to the subtle variations in wood color. Each image is then digitally printed onto a vinyl plank in high resolution, creating a wood image with up to 5x the detail of traditional LVP. A matching wood texture is expertly aligned to each unique image, helping enhance the illusion of genuine hardwood. Run your fingers over a plank of DuraVista™ and you’ll feel how the grain pattern perfectly matches what you see.
But the crowning feature of DuraVista™ is the number of unique wood images you’ll get in a single style of flooring. While typical LVP often contains 6 to 10 different wood images per batch, every DuraVista™ LVP with Infinigrain™ includes 35 unique images per style.
